Closed for the season! Re-opening Spring 2022

Education on the Farm
Fall Classroom – SOLD OUT

The Chilliwack Corn Maze is committed to teaching kids about agriculture and where their food comes from. Due Covid 19 and the ever changing structure of how children will be accessing their education, we have taken the time to assess the current school structure and determine the best roll out of our education program based upon BC guidelines.

We are excited to offer field trips for daycare, preschools, homeschool groups and both private and public schools.  Our aim is to provide students with a fun, hands-on learning experience where they can interact with agriculture in our community.  Our field trip is semi guided with lots of time to run and play.

SOLD OUT- Currently our fall classroom is sold out! We would still love to host you on the farm. To be the first to know about our spring classroom or other educational opportunities please sign up for our educational e-newsletter at the bottom of this page.

To provide a fun and educational, hands-on learning experience for children to interact with agriculture.  Our tours are geared towards preschool to Grade 4 and we welcome other ages as well.

Corn Maze: There is an “easy” maze and a “hard” maze.  The easy maze takes about 15-20 minutes and the hard one takes 30-40 min.  There are 10 posts throughout the maze to help guide students along.
Pumpkin Patch: Students are welcome to choose a small pumpkin to take home.  They can also choose a gourd if they prefer.
Outside Play Zone: Jumping pillow (10 students max), sand box, ball throwing, slide, sound garden & swing area.
Barn Play: Hay bale maze, visit the animals, petal carts, duck races and more
Pavilion Area: Learning station lead by us, walking story boards, outside adventure zone and tire area
Hay Ride: Weather and staffing dependent.

It is important that students dress appropriately.  They may need boots and raincoats or sunscreen depending on the weather. Recommending students bring a change of clothes is a good idea if conditions are wet.

– Our concession will be closed during the field trip
– Students are welcome to bring a snack or lunch to the field trip and eat at one of the given stations.
– A covered area for students to place their belongings will be provided

COVID 19 Protocols: Regular sanitization will occur throughout the farm and we will be following recommendations from the school district and the current PHO closely and monitor this through the season if restrictions change in the fall.
